At JM Lifestyle, it’s not about following trends – it’s about putting people first. Founder Jacco Mulder, a qualified dietitian and personal trainer, opened his own gym at the end of 2024 with a clear mission: to help people build a healthier lifestyle that truly suits them. In close collaboration with Lifemaxx, the compact studio, located in a former office building, was completely outfitted with high-quality, space-saving equipment that perfectly supports JM Lifestyle’s vision.
“My passion is helping people lead a healthier lifestyle. I started this gym to make that possible. It has a homely feel and a low entry threshold, which allows people to train in a comfortable and welcoming environment.”
From office building to functional fitness studio
The layout of the space came with some challenges due to its original function as an office. But through close consultation with Lifemaxx, every square metre was optimally utilised. Jacco provided a floor plan with measurements and ideas, which were then developed and refined together. “The space used to be an office, so it had some awkward corners. Together with Amando, we designed the layout in a way that really brought out the best in the space.”
Multifunctional equipment for maximum impact
JM Lifestyle opted for smart, versatile equipment to make the most of the available space. Lifemaxx supplied a Crossmaxx® XL Rig with integrated Smith machine and storage, a Crossmaxx® XL Dual pulley, various cardio machines, dumbbells and barbells with storage racks, and additional functional training tools such as weight plates, slam balls, benches, kettlebells and challenge bags. “One of the biggest advantages is that the equipment is multifunctional, which helps save space. It’s ideal when you don’t have many square metres to work with, like I do.”
