'We can definitely say the equipment is of high quality'

CEOs and other executives around the world have become well aware of the impact of employee health and fitness at work and overall well-being. A happy and fit work team means a productive workforce. Rotterdam-based Carrier Transicold fully understands this and together with us they have transformed an office space into a gym. We have provided the complete setup, including the delivery of cardio and strength equipment.

Carrier provides global solutions for a wide range of applications, including heating, air conditioning and refrigeration. Sales manager Delano explains why a gym was chosen in the office building: "We would like to create a good and healthy working environment for our employees. This means that more attention has been paid to the well-being of the employees when furnishing our new head office. We see in society that work & private life are increasingly intertwined. It is therefore up to the employer to also organize a piece of social welfare at the workplace. We have therefore opted for a gym in the office, but we also have Chill-out area with a snooker/billiards table and a Darts corner realized. We see that these facilities are used well, and that people come to relax and/or clear their heads before or after work. We think this is a wonderful addition to our work package."

'Everything went smoothly from there'

The plan for the gym was ready, time to turn the idea into reality. After a search on Google for the right equipment supplier, they came to us. "After some internet research, we saw that your office/warehouse was across the street from our old building. After spontaneously walking in, we came into contact with Wilfred and from there everything went smoothly." Together we looked at the best options for the space, and then made this visual with a 3D design. In order to use the space as versatile as possible, a Crossmaxx® Half Rack including accessories was chosen and a Crossmaxx® Storage rack including free weights and benches.

'It looks very professional'

After approval, it was time for delivery and installation. Delano: "The collaboration went very smoothly. All communication went smoothly and the adjustments (there were quite a few) were processed very quickly." These adjustments arose because the starting point was a relatively simple solution, but during the gym design process it grew into a fully equipped company gym where an absolute high-quality and commercial interpretation was chosen in terms of equipment and design.

"Now that all equipment is in place and being used, we can definitely say that we have a high quality gym. The users are happy with it and it looks very professional.

With the advice we received about the floor and how we finally set it up, it feels like a real gym!", says Delano.
