CrossFit® QPO, or Qua Patet Orbis, was founded by the Dutch Thomas and Sterre. They left for sun-drenched Ibiza in 2022 to make their dreams come true. CrossFit® QPO is fully equipped with Crossmaxx® equipment, from the floor to the rig and from the plates to the dumbbells.
During a holiday in Ibiza, Sterre and Thomas thought 'why don't we live here?'. They turned that thought into reality, but then came to the conclusion that the nearest box was half an hour away. Hence the idea to set up their own CrossFit® box: CrossFit® QPO. They chose this Latin name because Thomas used to be a MARSOF operator in the Marine Corps. The expression "Qua Patet Orbis" literally means "As far as the world reaches". This means that the Corps is a close-knit group that, wherever in the world, always support each other and treat each other with respect. Like family. They wanted to have this vibe in their box as well.
"It's just super equipment"
Thomas got to know Lifemaxx at the Ministry of Defense and the police. Thomas: “The gyms at the Ministry of Defense and the police are often equipment with Lifemaxx and that is simply said super equipment. We requested quotes from several parties and also asked if they could think along about setting up a box in Ibiza. In the end, Lifemaxx really was the best option. They thought along with the plan and that gave us a good feeling. It has been a great collaboration from start to finish!”
Secretly, Thomas and Sterre are already thinking about a second box, so who knows, an update will follow soon ;)
