At ODA Gym in The Hague, it's all about training with joy and pushing your boundaries, always at your own level. This promise forms the core of ODA Gym's philosophy, which has rapidly grown into a full-fledged training studio. The studio offers a range of training styles, including kickboxing and functional training. We were enlisted to design the optimal setup for this space.
Looking back eight years ago, owner Ed Groven started giving kickboxing lessons to a small group of friends. What began as a modest initiative has now evolved into a professional gym, complete with an impressive Dojo and a Strength and Conditioning Area. Particularly, this latter space has undergone an impressive transformation to be well-equipped for diverse training sessions.
Sprint track for functional exercises
Within the Strength and Conditioning area, a smart combination of fitness equipment was selected. There's a cool blue sprint track on the floor, perfect for explosive sprints and active moves. A Crossmaxx® rig is the star of the space, with different components for lots of workout options. Cardio machines and Crossmaxx® colored bumper plates finish off the area.
Fast and Efficient
The choice of colored Crossmaxx® bumper plates, as opposed to the traditional black variant, was a deliberate one. The color coding provides immediate visual recognition of the weight, particularly practical during busy training sessions and group classes. It empowers athletes and trainers to swiftly and efficiently select the appropriate weight, without wasting precious time searching.
